International students intending to study in France for a duration of more than 6 months must apply for a Long Stay Visa which is equivalent to a residence permit called the VLT-TS Visa.

Work Opportunity
Part Time Work
As an international student in France, you may work part-time along with your studies, provided you have a valid residency permit and your institute has no objection to this employment.
964 hours a year i.e. 20 hours a week

Post-Study Work
As an international student you are allowed to stay back in France for a period of 2 years after completion of the course under the APS scheme, to find a job, provided you have completed is Masters level qualification or a Professional Bachelors qualification. Bachelors may only stay back if they have a an employment offer that pays them atleast 1.5 times the minimum wage rate.
